Got a pressing problem? Why not ask for advice from your group of peers? This is an opportunity to bring a pressing issue, problem, or challenge, to your peers for their ideas, recommendations, and suggestions.
The format will go something like this:
- Person who is seeking advice states their issue in a one sentence question.
- Person seeking advice then spends a few minutes explaining the context about why that question is important.
- The group then asks clarifying questions so that they can get a better understanding of the issue.
- The group offers ideas and suggestions while the person asking listens and takes notes.
- We'll cap off the discussion with the person asking for advice summarizing their key takeaways.
This is a rapid fire, well-tested solution-driven process. And here's the cool thing: By helping others solve their problems, you might solve a problem you didn't even know you had.
